Other Interests

I am interested in way too many things. Always have been. I cannot comprehend "bored".

Anyway, lately I have several projects brewing besides doing art, commercial art, graphic design, web design, and illustration.

I am the Artist in Residence at Spirit in the Arts in Sacramento (http://breadoflife.org/spirit.html) on Tuesdays. This is through the Bread for Life program. Here, we have open studio. That means anyone can come in and do artwork, are encouraged to take the time and energy to embrace their own creative self, and create. I LOVE doing this. On Tuesdays between 2pm and 4pm I am co-leading a class called Art for Women in Recovery. If you are involved in a 12 step recovery program, you are welcome.

I co-lead the Women's Wisdom Circle here in Sacramento with Sonya Snow, and several other women who have stepped up to nurture the circle. Check out our website at www.wisdomcircle.net

I co-lead the Kiirtan with Soul's Journey (www.souls-journey.net) with my husband, Marshal (www.meadowlarktunes.com), and the Souls Journey team of musicians. I also sing in the choir and help lead praise and worship at the Center for Spiritual Awareness in West Sacramento (http://www.csasacramento.org).

I am in recovery as well as participate in a couple womens emotional processing groups called e-circles through Women Within, and a co-ed emotional processing group that we call c-group. I take great joy in the process of life, growth and healing.

Finally, I do intuitive stone readings called Stones of Change (www.stonesofchange.com). I love doing this. It is a whole process of life assessment and "fortune sculpting" that I saw about a year and a half ago in meditation. I have found no one anywhere doing anything similar, so I am writing a book about this important tool and how to master it for yourself, as well as teach workshops about it through East West Books Light Rose Center, here in Sacramento
